October, 2007 Baltic eHealth project ended
The Baltic eHealth project ended in September 2007.
The eUltrasound and eRadiology pilot has been carried out and an analysis has shown that eHealth can assist in counteracting rural migration. Today, an agreement has been signed between the participating hospitals to continue the good process and work flows.

R-Bay - a marketplace for the exchange of radiological images across borders in Europe - is in the process of being created due to the success of the Baltic eHealth project. The R-Bay project is an European eTEN market validation project. Read more about the project www.R-Bay.org

May 21-22 2007 Cross-Border eHealth in the Baltic Sea Region - Conference
The final conference for the Baltic eHealth project was held in Stockholm. The conference was held in cooperation with another INTERREG III B project eHealth for Regions as both projects pursue the vision of "Health for All" citizens. The theme of the conference was "Cross-border eHealth in the Baltic Sea Region - Healthcare delivery for the patients of today and tomorrow". The conference was highly successful as it was visited by 190 participants from 20 countries and the two days were packed with information about cross-border eHealth. October 10-12, 2005 Strategic Management Meeting in Tallinn
All the partners met in Tallinn for the third Strategic Management Committee meeting together with 4 simulations workshops: eRadiology, eUltrasound, Rural eHealth report and Baltic Health Network. The meeting and workshops went very well. Participant picture >>

Baltic eHealth will be presented at MIE 2005
The Scientific Committee at the Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) 2005 Conference has accepted an article about the Baltic eHealth project. The article is titled "The Baltic Health Network – taking secure, Internet-based healthcare networks to the next level" and is written by Henning Voss, Vigdis Heimly and Lotta Holm Sjögren. An oral presentation of the article will be given by Henning Voss between 28 August and 1 September in Geneva. The article can be downloaded here >>.

The report is based on general knowledge, discussions and feedback from the members of the project. The high-level Ministerial eHealth 2005 conference in Tromsø
The Baltic eHealth project became well-known among European decision makers during the third high-level Ministerial eHealth 2005 conference in Tromsø on 23-24 May 2005. Not only were Dr. Peeter Ross and Henning Voss invited to give a presentation about the Baltic eHealth project, the project was also mentioned by Lithuanias Minister of Health DR. ÿilvinas Padaiga (MD) and EU Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection Mr. Markos Kyprianou during a ministerial round table discussion. Subsequently, the project's exhebition was visited by many to receive further information.

March 8-9, 2005 Strategic Management Meeting in Trondheim
All the partners met in Trondheim for the second Strategic Management Meeting. The meeting went very well. The project is on time and the deliverables for the first milestone have been met.
February 17, 2005 Euroregional Conference - Niemen
The main objective of the conference, funded by EC (PHARE 2002 programme), was health promotion and improving the level of health awareness by means of computer science education and Internet applications. Baltic eHealth was presented with a presentation and an abstract >>

Claus Duedal Pedersen presented the Danish Centre for Health Telematics and Baltic eHealth in Brussels. The meeting was the fourth meeting hosted by Cisco Systems and it focused on eHealth best practice sharing and Internet technologies within eHealth. See the presentation here >>

At the "All Lithuanian PACS day", Baltic eHealth was presented by Nomeda Valenciene from the Vilnius University Hospital Santariskiu Klinikos and Claus Duedal Pedersen from the Danish Centre for Health Telematics. The presentation not only gave an overview of the project, but also of the Vilnius University Hospital Santariskiu Klinikos and the Danish Centre for Health Telematics. At the international conference "Health for All ", held in Kiel, Germany, on the 29th October, Baltic eHealth was presented by two project members Nomeda Valenciene from the Vilnius University Hospital Santariskiu Klinikos and Henning Voss from the Danish Centre for Health Telematics.
